THE CPP CERTIFICATION WORKSHOP
Attend this new and comprehensive 2-day workshop and become a fully Certified Practitioner – in the use of the CREDO Personality Profiling (CPP) System.
WHY UNDERSTANDING PERSONALITY IS SO CRITICAL
As personality traits are more strongly genetic or inherited, they tend to remain very stable through out our life. They are therefore very reliable predictors of behaviour. So, once we have a sound understanding of individual’s personality, we can help them in many different ways. For example:-
- Vocational and Career Guidance.
- Selection of suitable higher studies for students.
- Understanding different learning styles and which talents and competencies can be more easily and economically developed.
- Understanding how and why people think, communicate and behave differently.
- Putting together a committee, project team or task force.
- Analyzing the make-up of a team for team building .
- Matching people’s talents with tasks or jobs that will satisfy and motivate them for recruitment, selection or promotion.
- Matching partners for business or for marriage and understanding the uniqueness of children in a family.
Knowing the true personality of individuals can help them become more motivated, productive satisfied and successful. This ultimately is of a socio-economic benefit in nation building – especially for youth and tomorrow’s generation of leaders.
THE UNIQUE FEATURES OF THE CPP
There are many personality tests or profiling tools. Some short, some long, some relatively easy and some quite complex. Some are free and some very costly. The CPP is somewhere in the middle range, yet has some special features that others may not have. These include:-
- The CPP was originally developed in the mid seventies – over 30 years ago. It is in its 5th version and has incorporated much of the new research findings, on the brain and behavioural genetics.
- Traits are all worded positively, so people are less guarded, hesitant or anxious about completing the survey.
- Has a built-in check for consistency in responses.
Traits are classified into:-
- Temperaments
- Talents
- Drives
- The CPP can be completed 'on-line' or as a hard copy survey form. There are two versions of the CPP
A 72 trait ‘Education’ version
A 120 trait ‘Working Adult’ version
- A wide range of profile applications are provided for people to compare their personality traits and style preferences against the following areas:
- Basic Behavioural Styles
- Self Development
- Career Development
- Decision Making
- Learning Styles
- Facilitation Styles
- Teaching/Training
- Strategic Planning
- Negotiating
|
- Multiple Intelligences
- Leadership Style
- Problem Solving

- Personal Values & Needs
- Competencies
- Communication
- Sales and Marketing
- Jobs/Professions
|
- A comparison and correlation with several other popular and common profiling tools (eg: MBTI, HBDI, DISC, Big 5. Personality Plus, Facet 5 and Team Management Styles).
- A set of training or workshop module descriptions – called the Dynamics of Thinking (DOT) Series that integrate the use of the CPP is introduced.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Certified counselors need to be mature and widely experienced in the area of human resource management. Ideally they should have some working knowledge and qualifications in behavioral science, social sciences, human relations or psychology.
However, this can also include those who do not possess such as educational background, but have extensive experience in helping people to learn and develop.
As counselors will be expected to give advice on career development and occupational choice, this is covered in the workshop.
Teachers, Trainers or group facilitators will find the workshop useful – from the perspective of learning styles, and how to use personality profiling in teaching/training, counseling and even coaching.

METHODOLOGY
Workshop design incorporates a variety of methods to stimulate active learning and appeal to the mix of participants preferred learning styles. Building on participant personality profiles, a number of interactive exercises, games and group discussion will help them to understand the ‘counselling’ skills needed. Where appropriate, selected multimedia, video or power point visuals augment a comprehensive manual of notes.
The workbooks are professionally laid out, appealing to the learner and capturing key learning points and post workshop actions.
DURATION OF WORKSHOP
Normally the optimum learning and understanding of personality and how to apply the CPP can be achieved in a two day program, together with some additional reading and short assignments.
If the participant is already certified in the use of other instruments – such as the HBDI, MBTI or the Big 5 – then no additional readings or assignments would be required. This also would be especially so for qualified behavioural scientists, or psychologists or counselors.
